The Shaikha Fatima Global Humanitarian Campaign launched a comprehensive strategy that aims to ease the hardships of millions of children around the world, through implementing innovative humanitarian programmes and finding practical solutions to health and social issues.

The campaign is being supervised by senior consultants from local and international universities, under the motto 'Following in the Footsteps of Zayed', and as part of the 'We Are All Shaikha Fatima' programme, as part of the Year of Tolerance, UAE News Agency (WAM) reported.

Noura Al Suwaidi, Director of the General Women’s Union, GWU, said that declaring the 'Comprehensive Strategy for Children’s Health Care' coincides with Emirati Children’s Day on March 15, and is part of the humanitarian initiatives of H.H. Shaikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, which have reached out to over 16 million children and elderly people around the world, including in the UAE, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, Sudan, Somalia, India, Pakistan, Kenya, Eritrea and Morocco.

She noted that the strategy involves four components, which are improving the skills of healthcare sector employees, developing the health management sector, adopting high-level standards for family and community practices, and establishing partnerships with local and international institutions.

Al Suwaidi added that Shaikha Fatima aims to promote leading initiatives to support children, especially in the health, education and humanitarian sectors.
