Deputy CEO of the Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco), Ibrahim Talib, expected that constructions to renovate Bapco’s refinery project to commence in the first half of 2019, according to the project’s implementation schedule.

Talib told the press that an agreement to implement the project was signed last February. “Three teams are currently working outside Bahrain. In Rome (Italy), in Seoul (Korea) and in Madrid (Spain). Tasks of these teams are related to three things: engineering, purchasing and construction. The efforts are currently focused on the engineering and purchasing basic equipment,” he said

Talib revealed that an agreement worth $ 4.2 to provide engineering, procurement and construction services for the project was recently signed by the oil minister and chief executive of an American firm

“The project is going according to the plan set for it without any delay on the hands of many Bahraini cadres,” he stressed.
