Information Affairs Minister and Board of Trustees Chairman of the Bahrain Institute for Political Development (BIPD), Ali bin Mohammed Al-Romaihi, received here today a French delegation comprising experts from the Institut National de l’Audiovisuel (INA).
The meeting reviewed arrangements to activate the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), signed between the Information Affairs Ministry and INA on sidelines of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s recent visit to Paris.
Under the MoU, the two sides will cooperate in evaluating and preserving the Information Affairs Ministry’s audio-visual archives, as well as building and developing the capacities of the administrative and executive teams across various production stages.
Al-Romaihi stressed the Information Affairs Ministry’s keenness to develop the media and communication sector and strengthen its efficiency at the local and regional levels, as well as and to provide the appropriate atmosphere for its national competencies to carry on their media innovation and creativity.
The French delegation toured the Information Affairs Ministry’s directorates, and were informed about the work progress and the used technology.
Members of the delegation expressed their admiration for the distinguished national competencies working at various fields of audio-visual production.
They affirmed that the distinguished work environment and the advanced systems adopted by the Information Affairs Ministry pave the way for promising future cooperation between the two sides to bring about further development and modersination.
