Chief of Public Security, Major-General Tariq Al Hassan has received a French delegation specialised in the ambulance services. The meeting attended by the official assigned to manage the Operation Room of the National Ambulance Centre and the Centre's medical advisor.

The meeting followed directives issued by the Interior Minister, General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al-Khalifa to ensure the best quality facilities as part of the National Ambulance services and to continue exchanging successful international experiences and expertise.

The Chief welcomed the guests, highlighting that the National Ambulance Project launched on June 15 is a pioneer one that reflects the dedication to provide services to citizens. He said that the project was introduced after intensive preparedness to enhance the ambulance services.

He hailed the support of Interior Minister through providing the necessary equipment and tools, along with training the workforce, revealing various plans to enhance the provided services.

He expressed thanks and appreciation to the Supreme Council for Health and its Chairman, Lt-General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Khalifa for his support and follow up, along with the King Hamad University Hospital for cooperation and training of paramedics.

The meeting discussed the steps and procedures of the project to ensure readiness for fast response in dealing with cases and transferring patients within the highest safety standards.

During the visit, the French delegation inspected the ambulances of the project and the National Ambulance Centre and its operational process. The delegation hailed the directives and follow up of the Interior Minister of the phases of the project, hailing the level of readiness by the team in term of competency and equipment.

Head of the delegation highlighted that the members discussed various topics with the project’s team and hailed the efficiency of the centre. He revealed that the delegation’s technical assistance would be through evaluating medical emergency services and the management process to ensure the safety of patients.
