Gulf Air’s board of directors issued a directive to retract redundancies within Bahraini staff and to allow them to return to work for the airline. This was during the company’s board of directors’ urgent meeting held today to discuss various issues. On top of the meeting’s agenda were the restructure initiative which affected a number of Bahraini staff and to study a number of options to maintain the workforce’s rights at Gulf Air. These directives came is in line with the airline’s continuous mission to support and invest in Bahrainis as valuable human resource assets.

The board of directors confirmed that the 2018 and beyond strategy is being implemented to continuously enhance the products and services of Gulf Air, expand the fleet and network as well as to carry out sound restructuring to increase operational efficiency without jeopardizing the level and quality of services provided to Gulf Air passengers.
