A young teenager was found dead on the terrace of the building he was staying last night in Gudabiya. Indian national Shreyas Manoj, 16, who is a basketball player had gone in the morning at around 10 AM to play basketball.
Towards the afternoon his parents began to worry as he still had not returned home. They tried to call him on his mobile phone but it was switched off. Around 3 PM in the evening, his parents informed the police that their son was missing.
Towards the end of the search at night for the young lad, the police found his body motionless on the terrace of the building they were living in. Shreyas was studying in the Indian School Bahrain (ISB) in the 11th standard. His older sibling Siddharth is currently studying in Bangalore for sound engineering.
The family although are native’s of Chengannur, Kerala, had moved to Bangalore. Currently, in Bahrain, they have been here for over 17 years and father, Manoj Kumar, owns a gymnasium and spa centre called Sports Village in Um Al Hassam. The body was shifted to the mortuary in Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC) last night.
