People are set to celebrate the festival of lights – Diwali – today. Bahrain is home to a large number of South Asian communities who have prepared for the grand celebration across various places in Bahrain.

Over 200 people are expected to gather at the Swiss International Hotel to celebrate India’s rich cultural heritage. The Diwali and Punjabi Food festival celebrations will span over two days which is set to begin from tomorrow onwards. 

 The festival will witness live band “Taseer” performing Bollywood songs and a special dance by dance troupe Rangla Punjab and the Bhangra dance.
People will get to feast on more than 30 traditional Indian dishes some of which are Mughalai and Punjabi food.
