The renovation of meat and fish market in Manama Central Market has reached 40% and is being implemented by the Capital Municipality as part of its plan to meet the requirements of Manama Central Market, due to its importance in providing food security at the local level.

This was confirmed by the General Director of the Capital Secretariat Eng. Shawqia Ibrahim Humaidan, during her field visit to the site to review the progress of the work.

She explained that the Municipality of the capital began to implement a comprehensive maintenance project for the meat market and fish market in Manama Central Market since last January with a cost of 253 thousand dinars, in a 16-month project, aiming to open the renovated blocks by the beginning of October 2019.
