At the kind invitation of the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Republic of Austria and Permanent Representative to the International Atomic Energy Agency, Hamad Ali Al Kaabi, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Head of the National Committee on the Prohibition of the Development, Production, Stockpiling and Use of Chemical Weapons and on their Destruction, Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Daij Al Khalifa, visited today on the 17th of September 2019, the Scientific Exhibition entitled "the UAE Nuclear Energy Programme Pioneering the Development of Peaceful Civilian Nuclear Energy" held by the Permanent Mission of the United Arab Emirates in Vienna, Austria, in cooperation with the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation in the UAE, on the sidelines of the 63rd session of the General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency.

During the visit, Dr. Shaikha Rana commended the solid brotherly relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates and discussed aspects of joint cooperation on the latest scientific programs and applications in the field of peaceful uses of nuclear energy.

The Emirati Ambassador presented the most pivotal programs implemented by the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation in cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency, hailing the substantial role played by the Bahraini National Committee under the chairmanship of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its remarkable progress in enhancing cooperation with the IAEA and its specialized agencies, especially with regard to technical cooperation and capacity building of Bahraini national cadres in the vital fields of nuclear energy.
