Health Minister Faeqa Al Saleh has opened Micro schools for children at the Salmaniya Medical Complex, in the Children's Oncology Section Ward 202 and the Children's Ward 31.
The opening coincides with the beginning of the new school year in the Kingdom.
Al-Saleh praised the efforts of civil society institutions in supporting the health sector related to the development of therapeutic programs and services aimed at pediatric patients. This provides them with a suitable environment for treatment, conducting their daily activities and maintaining educational progress, which reflects positively on the course of treatment, she said.
Al Saleh stressed the Ministry's keenness and commitment to provide the needs of pediatric patients at Salmaniya Medical Complex.
The minister lauded the benevolent initiative by Her Highness Shaikha Zain bint Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of Al Mabarra Al Khalifia, by equipping a room in the children's Ward 31 to be used as an educational classroom for children.
Under the auspices of HH Shaikha Zain, Al Mabarra Al Khalifia has been actively supporting the education of pediatric patients as well as actively engaged in charitable work, carrying out charitable and humanitarian work, and coordinating and cooperating with all parties to achieve common goals for the benefit of society.
