The director of the urban development department at the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning, Engineer Rawia Al-Mannai, said that the ministry completed the rain insulation for 150 houses during 2019.

She said in a statement that “ in cooperation with the Capital Municipality Council have implemented 150 requests for rain insulators within the project of developing cities and villages with a total budget of 110 thousand Bahraini dinars distributed across all governorates of the Kingdom.”

Al-Mannai pointed out that the rain-proofing project is one of the vital projects that meet the needs of the citizen directly and the living conditions of citizens by providing assistance to people with low income through specific criteria and priorities to be raised by the municipal council.

She explained that rain insulators have been completed in the with a budget of 11,200 Bahraini dinars completing the remaining applications during the coming period,

She pointed out that the total number of applications for rain insulators included under the project of developing cities and villages in all governorates of Bahrain reached 7813 applications from 2007 to early July 2018, and that all applications have been completed in addition to this year’s requests with 78 houses.
