Electricity and Water Affairs Minister, Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, visited the Muharraq Customer Services Centre, along with EWA Chief Executive Officer, Shaikh Nawaf bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, and a number of officials to review its progress and how quickly it responds to the requirements of the people with regard to electricity and water services.
The minister also met the officials and customers and listened to their needs and observations about the centre and the quality of transactions they wish to be available to provide better services.
The minister said that his visit comes to review and follow up on the progress of work in the various sectors of the EWA, and to reassure the level of services.
He said that the visit was in line with the directives of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, for officials to go to work sites and gauge the needs of citizens and residents and the level of services provided to them.
The minister commended the efforts of the employees of the centre and said officials at the EWA strive for customer satisfaction with its services and benefit from the feedback of the people to provide the best.
He said they also work to achieve the highest quality services for all, stressing the need for continuous measurement of customer satisfaction through the diversification of communication tools.
The minister directed the officials of the Customer Services Directorate to launch a direct visual line to communicate with the deaf and the mute category through which special transactions can be completed to facilitate the services provided by the Authority. He said this service will contribute to overcome the difficulties they face in order to complete their transactions.
The minister stressed the EWA's keenness to provide the best services and raise their quality in a sustainable manner according to the data of the government work programme, the national strategic plan and Bahrain’s 2030 economic vision.
He thanked and appreciated the employees and officials working at the centre and all other such centres for their efforts.
