Civil Defence officers managed to extinguish a fire that broke out early Saturday in four cars and three storefronts in Riffa Souq area without causing any injuries.
Initial details of the incident indicate that at 3:30 am this morning, a young Bahraini man was driving his car in the market area in Riffa when he was surprised by a fire in the engine so he immediately stopped and contacted the civil Defence, as he ran out of the car.
The Civil Defence arrived as soon as they received and split into groups to be able to besiege the fire after the fire caught three cars parked on the side of the road and the front of three closed shops were hit by fire with no casualties reported.
As police and civil Defence arrived they closed the road so that the civil Defence men can do their job and so that no one of the citizens is injured. After extinguishing the fire, the official authorities opened an investigation to find out its causes.
On the other hand, the Ministry of Interior said on the social media site - Twitter: Civil Defence extinguishes a fire that broke out in a vehicle in Riffa market as the front of three closed shops caught up the fire and a number of vehicles parked on the side without injuries, and the cause of the fire was a fuel leakage and the competent authorities Commence its actions.
