The King Hamad University Hospital (KHUH) has signed a memorandum of understanding with South Korean DanKook University Hospital focusing on training, exchanging health expertise.

Supreme Council for Health (SCH) President Lieutenant-General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa sealed the deal with Health and Social care Deputy Minister Noh Hongin and DanKook University Hospital medical director Park Woo-sung.

Present were  Consultant Otolaryngologist Professor Hesham Youssef Ali, KHUH director Dr. Hani Faris, administrative and medical staff and the South Korean delegation.

Lt.Gen. Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa welcomed the South Korean delegation, currently in Bahrain to take part in the Joint Learning Network for Universal Health Coverage (JLN).

The South Korean delegation visited the King Hamad University Hospital and the Bahrain Oncology Centre and reviewed the medical network (HOPE) which aims at coordinating services between different sections.
