The lens of "Al-Bilad" spotted the beginning of the workers’ hammers of a private company to demolish the facade of the Kuwaiti building in the capital governorate, after issuing the necessary licenses from the Capital Municipality.

It is known that this comes after a long judicial battle between the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and the owners of the building, which lasted for more than 13 years until the signing of the decision to demolish the famous building in Manama, which was evacuated from tenants since 2006.

An official said in a statement released in the local press that the cost of demolition is about 24 thousand dinars and the building contains 174 apartments, 52 shops, and 20 administrative offices.

The demolition project is being carried out by Al-Ghanah Group, sources said that the demolition process is expected to take about two months according to a written plan created by the specialized engineering office in coordination with the concerned parties.
