The Faber Castell 'Spectra 2019’ carnival will take place on Friday, 13th December 2019 at The Bahrain International Exhibition Centre, Sanabis.

The response from the Schools in Bahrain during the last ten years has been overwhelming stated the organisers. The first carnival was held in the year 2009 with around 700 participants and last year during the 10th edition of the carnival, more than 4500 students participated.

This year a total of about 4000 children from various schools in Bahrain are expected to participate in the competition after being selected in the preliminary rounds organized in their respective schools. This annual event aims at unearthing artistic talent among the youth and creating a future generation who would be catalysts for social change.

Participants are divided into four age groups - five to eight years, eight to eleven years, eleven to fourteen years and fourteen to eighteen years. All the participants would be put through a qualifying round in their respective schools. These qualifying rounds would be administered by the Schools independently.

The top participants selected on the basis of their performance in the qualifying test would move to the finals. Participation will be allowed only through Schools/Institutions. We also have Adult group added in where adults above 18yrs can take part in the competition. This group registration will be direct online registration.

All participants will be provided with drawing paper and materials at the venue.

Top 50 winners in each age group would receive medals and certificates. Top five winners in each category would receive individual trophies and certificates. All participants would be issued with a participation certificate. Rolling trophy to the schools will also be presented.

The winners will be honoured at an Award Function which will be held on the same day at 5.30 pm at Bahrain International Exhibition Center.

This year ICRF is expecting participation of around 30 schools including The Indian School, The Asian School, The New Indian School, Sacred Heart School, New Millennium School, New Horizon School, Al Noor International School, Ibn Al Haytham School, AMA International School, Quality Education School, New Generation International School, Philippine School, Al Naseem International School, Arabian Pearl Gulf School, Bahrain Indian School, Hawar International School, Al Mahd Day Boarding School, Alrawabi School New Zing Kindergarten, and others. We also have students of Sneha participate in the event.

The winning entries and other outstanding creations by the children will figure in the Wall Calendars and Desk-Top Calendars designed for the year 2020. These Calendars will be launched at a grand function later. A large number of each of these calendars will be made available to all sponsors, corporates, banks, insurance companies, educational institutions, clubs, associations and businesses.
