Indian wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant did not take the field in the second innings during the ODI against Australia at the Wankhede Stadium, after he was diagnosed to have suffered a concussion while batting.

"Rishabh Pant is under observation at the moment. His progress will be tracked overnight. A specialist has been consulted and an update will be given accordingly," the BCCI said after the match.

Pant made 28 off 33 balls during India''s 255 all out after being sent in to bat by Australia. He suffered the blow during his dismissal, when a bouncer from Pat Cummins hit his bat before bouncing off his helmet to the fielder at point.
