Deputy Prime Minister, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, has affirmed that the Bahraini-Saudi ties have become a distinguished role model for relations between countries, especially neighbouring ones, for their special distinct features.

He asserted that the fraternal Bahraini-Saudi relations have reached advanced levels thanks to the long-standing legacy spearheaded by the forefathers and the keenness of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud to constantly deepen them and strengthen them at all levels.

The deputy premier made the statements as he received at the Gudaibiya Palace today the newly-appointed Saudi Ambassador to Bahrain, HRH Prince Sultan bin Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud.

Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla welcomed the new envoy, and wished him a happy stay in the kingdom, and every success in carrying out his diplomatic duties to build on the existing achievements and optimize them in all fields for the best interests of the two brotherly countries.

The deputy premier expressed thanks and appreciation to Saudi Arabia for its constant support for Bahrain under various circumstances, citing Saudi Arabia’s kind support for infrastructure projects, under the Gulf Development Programme.

He also lauded the progress boom witnessed by Saudi Arabia across various fields thanks to the forward-looking visions and initiatives of its leadership.

The Saudi Ambassador expressed thanks to Bahrain’s leadership, government and people for their sincere desire to push bilateral relations further in order to enhance the progress and prosperity marches currently witnessed by the two kingdoms.
