Schools have been suspended for an additional two weeks as part of the official precautions taken to limit the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). This decision was just announced by the Ministry of Education upon directives of the Coordination Committee chaired by the Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander, First Deputy Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
The decision stated that the administrative and educational cadres in government and private schools, government and private higher education institutions and kindergartens are allowed to return to work from the day Next Sunday, 8 March 2020. The return of staff, the ministry added, aimed to work to achieve the goals of the school year and reduce the effects of temporary disruption of study in educational institutions.
The ministry of education stated that the decision od suspension came in line with the precautionary measures to ensure the safety of students in light of the precautions taken by the state to limit the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
It is noteworthy that study suspension will complete a month of suspension as it started in February 26.
