Educational institutions in Bahrain have taken to e-learning amongst the prevailing situation in Bahrain. The Bahrain Indian School initiated E-learning for students of Grade 10. The synchronous learning process helped children to be in school while being at home.
With advanced technology; BIS students were attuned to the virtual e-learning classroom with the classes being interactive as students were connected to the teacher. The teachers used Teach Infinity interactive boards to accelerate the learning. The class duration was of 1 hour with 10 minutes break at the end of each session.
Four subjects were taught in a day with assignments shared post the classes to check the learning and the grasping of the content. Going forth, if the school extends the period of holidays due to the pandemic; then the same platform of online learning will be implemented for other classes too.
Mahima of Grade 10th said, "The online sessions were really helpful. It helped me to understand the concepts better. All the classes were fun, informative and interesting. I thank all the teachers who took their effort and time to teach us."
Another child - Amruta of Grade X said, "The online classes were a fun way of learning. The interaction felt just like classroom learning. Thank you to the school and the teachers."
Ryan highlighted, "The online sessions that we had have been of much help. All doubts that we previously had have been cleared. The material used while teaching was of great help as it made the lessons and topics easier to learn, and remember. Moreover, the interaction between the students and the teachers was really good. Thanks go to all the teachers who have put in the effort and time to help us students learn and excel."
