The Undersecretary of the "Animal Resources" at the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning, Dr. Khaled Ahmed Hassan said that an electronic platform for requesting slaughtered animals was launched after signing an agreement between the slaughterhouses approved by the Ministry's Animal Resources Agency and "Talabat" company.

The undersecretary stated that the agreement stipulates providing an electronic platform through which the citizens or the residents can request the slaughter electronically and deliver them from the slaughterhouses approved by the agency to the homes of the citizens and residents in order to preserve their safety in the current conditions and prevent random slaughter adding that slaughters will be delivered in cars designed for this purpose.

He added that he is in support of the national efforts to combat (COVID-19), and in application of the criteria for social distancing and the necessity of staying at home. 

The Animal Wealth Agent also urged livestock traders to seize this opportunity to market their livestock to communicate with the Bahrain Livestock Company management to enroll their livestock under the umbrella of the company’s central slaughterhouse.
