Assistant Chief of Public Security for Operations and Training Affairs Brigadier Dr Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa announced the distribution of more than 100000 meals daily for expats and needy families as part of the Feena Khair national charity campaign to overcome the economic impact resulting from the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

He also highlighted the efforts of the Interior Ministry to limit the spread of coronavirus through promoting social distancing between individuals at public places and support affected people through cooperative efforts between governorates and police directorates. The meals distribution is carried out under the supervision of the Public Security Presidency.

He said that suitable meals distribution areas were selected in each governorate and the process takes place under the supervision of police personnel, as the beneficiaries must wear masks and keep distance between them.
