Over 7,571 Covid-19 tests were conducted yesterday (13 June) health officials confirmed. The Ministry of Health detected 514 new cases of the COVID-19 in foreign workers, contacts and some from recent arrivals to the island kingdom, according to health officials.
Health officials said that 281 expatriate workers were detected with the virus in the past 24 hours, 230 others were infected from local contacts while 3 cases were detected in recent arrivals from abroad.
The Ministry of Health also confirmed that 628 patients recovered from coronavirus bringing the total number of recoveries in the country to 12,818 so far.
The latest update reveals that there are currently 138 Covid-19 cases receiving treatment, of which 18 are in a critical condition. Over 5,352 cases are stable out of a total of 5,370 active cases. Bahrain has so far conducted over 418413 tests.
The Health Ministry announced the deaths of four more people from the coronavirus disease, taking the total fatalities in Bahrain to 41. The ministry said an 85-year-old Bahraini, a 70-year-old female citizen, a 50-year-old male expatriate, and a 54-year-old expatriate died due to Covid-19. And expressed its condolences to the families of the deceased at this difficult time.
