Over 6,779 Covid-19 tests were conducted yesterday (14 June), health officials confirmed. The Ministry of Health detected 317 new cases of the COVID-19 in foreign workers, contacts and some from recent arrivals to the island kingdom, according to health officials.
Health officials said that 151 expatriate workers were detected with the virus in the past 24 hours, 164 others were infected from local contacts while 2 cases were detected in recent arrivals from abroad.
The Ministry of Health also confirmed that 379 patients recovered from coronavirus bringing the total number of recoveries in the country to 13,197 so far.
The latest update (15 June, 9:00 am) reveals that there are currently 140 Covid-19 cases receiving treatment, of which 18 are in a critical condition. Over 5,286 cases are stable out of a total of 5,304 active cases. The total number of discharged recovered cases totals to 13,197. Bahrain has conducted over 425192 tests.
Meanwhile, the Health Ministry announced the death of a 65-year-old female expatriate from Covid-19 taking the death toll in Bahrain to 43. The Ministry of Health expressed its heartfelt condolences to the individual’s family at this difficult time.
