Over 9,643 Covid-19 tests were conducted on Friday (26 June) health officials confirmed.
The Ministry of Health detected 724 new cases of the COVID-19 in foreign workers, contacts and some from recent arrivals to the island kingdom, according to health officials.
Health officials said that 474 expatriate workers were detected with the virus in the past 24 hours, 240 others were infected from local contacts while 10 cases were detected in recent arrivals from abroad.
The Ministry of Health also confirmed that 636 patients recovered from coronavirus bringing the total number of recoveries in the country to 19,137 so far.
The latest update (26 June) reveals that there are currently 94 Covid-19 cases receiving treatment, of which 48 are in a critical condition. Over 5,547 cases are stable out of a total of 5,595 active cases. The total number of discharged recovered cases totals to 19,137.
Bahrain has conducted over 5,21,101 tests. Bahrain has recorded the total number of fatalities from Covid-19 to 73 in Bahrain.
Meanwhile, Labour and Social Development Ministry Assistant Undersecretary Ahmed Jaffer Al-Haiki highlighted precautionary measures in Bahrain to curb the pandemic, citing particularly the enforcement of social distancing at worksites and labour camps.
He outlined the directives of the Ministry of Health and other competent authorities to comply with precautionary measures for the safety of workers who represent a top priority, is the cornerstone of the economic revitalization.
