The Representatives and Shura and councils will hold a virtual symposium on Tuesday, in line with the Legislative Branch’s keenness to highlight the achievements attained under the comprehensive development march spearheaded by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

Held based on directives of Speaker, Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal, and Shura Chairman, Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, marking International Day of Parliamentarism, which falls on the same day, the symposium aims to support the activities of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, and activate the role of parliamentary diplomacy.

The event, themed “The Monitoring and Legislative Role in Parliamentary Work”, will provide a platform for the two chambers of the National Assembly to highlight their role during the second session of the Fifth Legislative Term.

Members of the Representatives and Shura and councils, officials of the Secretariat-Generals of the two chambers and those interested in parliamentary work will participate in the online symposium.
