The Shura Council has hailed the kind fatherly care of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa about the Bahraini citizens and his keenness on providing them with great support during the challenging times caused by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic across the world.

HM the King’s follow-up and his concern about citizens embody the true closeness between the leader and his people and his keenness to fulfill their ambitions and aspirations, to provide support in various circumstances and challenges and to achieve stability for all Bahraini families, the Council said in a statement.

The Council said it valued the decisions taken by the Cabinet based on HM the King’s directives to pay 50% of the salaries of insured Bahrainis in the most affected private sector institutions for three months, starting from July, in accordance with the terms and conditions to be set by the Labour and Social Development Ministry, in coordination with the relevant authorities.

The Shura said they were proud of the efforts by the government under the leadership of His Royal Highness the Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, to set up programs and launch initiatives to support citizens and the establishments in the private sector.

The Council said it would remain supportive of all royal initiatives and directives that achieve the interests of Bahrain and citizens and would work diligently on enacting legislation and laws that support the government in implementing its development projects and enable it to fulfill the aspirations of citizens under the wise leadership of HM the King.
