His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Russian President Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation during which they reviewed the solid deep-rooted relations between the two friendly countries, as well as ways to bolster various aspects of cooperation and coordination to achieve mutual interests.

The two leaders affirmed the depth of the distinguished Bahraini-Russian relations and agreed to invigorate the work of joint committees to serve shared interests and achieve the aspirations of the two friendly peoples.

HM King Hamad expressed appreciation of the major role President Putin is playing enhancing bilateral relations that are based on mutual respect and coordination.

HM the King congratulated President Putin on the success of the referendum on the amendments to the Russian constitution as well as on the 75th anniversary of the Allied victory in World War II and the Soviet Union's victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The conversation emphasized the settlement of the Syrian crisis and the preservation of Syria’s territorial integrity, and HM the King lauded Russia’s active international role, under President Putin’s leadership, praising its keenness on consolidating security and peace regionally and globally.

During the call, the international efforts related to combating the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and its various repercussions were also reviewed.

The Russian President expressed thanks and appreciation to HM the King for his dedicated efforts and constant keenness to enhance relations and cooperation with his country.

He wished Bahrain and its people further success, progress and prosperity under HM the King’s wise leadership.
