Over 8,801 Covid-19 tests were conducted on Friday (10 July) health officials confirmed.
The Ministry of Health detected 511 new cases of the COVID-19 in foreign workers, contacts and some from recent arrivals to the island kingdom, according to health officials.
Health officials said that 251 expatriate workers were detected with the virus in the past 24 hours, 255 others were infected from local contacts while 5 cases were detected in recent arrivals from abroad.
The Ministry of Health also confirmed that 693 patients recovered from coronavirus bringing the total number of recoveries in the country to 27,213 so far.
The latest update (10 July) reveals that there are currently 53 Covid-19 cases receiving treatment, of which 84 are in a critical condition. Over 4,669 cases are stable out of a total of 4,722 active cases. The total number of discharged recovered cases totals to 27,213.
Bahrain has conducted over 6,49,020 tests. Bahrain reported one fatality, a 58-year-old male citizen taking the toll to 104.
Meanwhile, Bahraini parliamentarians have highlighted the Kingdom’s experiences in managing the COVID-19 pandemic and the measures taken to protect society from the repercussions of the coronavirus.
