“BD1.4 million was the decrease in the revenue of the hospitality sector due to COVID-19,” the National Hotels Company’s Board of Directors exclusively told Albilad Newspaper.

The company indicated the decrease was mainly caused by the cancellation of reservations and reducing the prices of rooms and hotel apartments for the assets and hospitality facilities affiliated with the company.

The company confirmed that there was a significant impact by the pandemic on the company’s operations. The company noted that the hospitality sector was one of the sectors that were most affected by COVID-19 despite receiving financial assistance that represented specific payment of a portion of employee costs, assignment of related regulatory fees, assignment of tourism fees, and assignment of utility fees.
