A Coffee shop was shut down for violating preventive measures to limit the spread of COVID-19. This went viral after being announced by concerned authorities. 

The owner of the café has yesterday announced opening it for the public in a video that went viral in which he said that he was not a Bahraini and could open the café. 

The Public Health Department which closed the café in cooperation within coordination with the Inspection Department of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism and the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibition Authority (BTEA) stated that the cafes was closed as it violated laws and regulations in force in the Kingdom of Bahrain in light of the continuing decisions to stop providing internal services in restaurants and cafes except for tourism according to the circular issued by the BTEA issued on July 28, 2020, laws were applied to the cafe.
