Movement of Bahraini trucks to the KSA through King Fahd Causeway will be resumed as of tomorrow, 2 August 2020. This went viral after being announced by the Director of Customs Land Ports of the Customs Affairs, Mohammed Hassan Al-Isa, to the media. It received massive comments about re-opening the King Fahad Causeway to the public. 

Al-Isa stated that the decision was taken in coordination with the General Authority of Customs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

It is noteworthy that the Saudi newspaper Al-Youm, has recently stated that there would be no opening for ports in the eastern region’s borders before the Hajj season including the King Fahd Causeway. The newspaper stated that the opening would begin gradually, once the decision is issued by the concerned authorities.
