Minister of Information Ali bin Mohammed Al Romaihi has praised the great success of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in organising this year’s Haj season despite the exceptional circumstances and challenges resulting from the outbreak of the novel coronavirus. He stressed that this success is owed to the wise leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Information Minister commended the efforts of Saudi Arabia in providing care for the pilgrims, Umrah performers and visitors of the Two Holy Mosques since its establishment by late King Abdulaziz Al Saud. He stressed the kingdom’s new success story this year in organising the Haj season in a secure health environment. He thanked the Saudi government as well as the security and health crews for their dedicated efforts and keenness on continuous performance of the fifth pillar of Islam by providing the pilgrims with the needed services and ensuring compliance with the precautionary measures and international health standards.
The Information Minister affirmed that success of the Haj season despite challenges and hardships proved the great organisational capability of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and crowned its success stories over the past years in setting up an integrated contemporary system of services and administrative and logistic facilities. He asserted that the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in serving Islam and Muslims and promoting moderation, tolerance and peace will remain carved in the heart of the Arab and Muslim nation.
