The aid is to help the Lebanese with their ordeal and to alleviate the effects of the disaster caused by the devastating explosion in Beirut.

Shaikh Nasser praised HM the King’s patronage of the RHF and his generous humanitarian gesture towards the people in Lebanon following the disaster that has struck the Lebanese capital, Beirut.

He indicated that the first batch of the aid included medical equipment and respirators that are urgently needed in the challenging conditions.

“We are honored to extend to His Majesty King Hamad our sincere thanks, appreciation and gratitude for his continuous humanitarian initiatives in helping the needy and the afflicted, which reflects his keenness to provide aid and assistance to everyone based on the human ties that bind Bahrain and the different peoples of the world. This shipment confirms the distinguished relations between Bahrain and Lebanon,” Al Sayed said.

“We also appreciate the generous cooperation by the government headed by His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister, and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister. We also praise the support of HH Shaikh Nasser to the RHF to speed up the processing of this aid and deliver it as soon as possible to the brothers in Lebanon to contribute to providing prompt assistance following the disaster that befell Beirut.”

Lebanon’s Health Minister Hamad Hassan expressed the thanks and appreciation of the Lebanese government and people for Bahrain’s noble stance and praised the directives of HM the King to provide aid to Lebanon to help it face the impact of the painful disaster.

He stressed the gratitude of the Lebanese government for the sympathy and solidarity of Bahrainis with the Lebanese people and their keenness to stand by them in these difficult circumstances, praising the deep brotherly relationship between the two countries, leadership, government and peoples.

Bahrain’s fraternal feelings towards Lebanon are not surprising as the Kingdom has been proactive in supporting its brothers in various circumstances, the minister added, stressing that the Lebanese are grateful for Bahrain’s stances towards their country in all forums and on all occasions.

What distinguishes Bahrain most is not only the provision of aid, but also the speed of response and continuous follow-up of its projects, he added.
