One of the worlds largest gold and diamond retailers have promised to help poor and distressed families. Malabar Gold and Diamonds handed over a sum 1,000,000 Indian rupees (BD5,400) to Indian Community Relief Fund (ICRF). During the art carnival organised by ICRF ‘Spectra 2018’, the Malabar Gold and Diamonds Bahrain branch manager Mohammed Rafeeq presented the contribution to ICRF President Aruldas Thomas.

This was done in the presence of Indian Embassy second secretary Renu Yadav, ICRF chairman Aruldas Thomas and other officials. The contribution – a part of the group’s corporate social responsibility initiatives – was also made to mark the group’s 25th-anniversary celebrations.
