National Oil & Gas Authority Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa said that there is no intention to increase fuel prices during the coming period and that the first trial shipment of liquefied natural gas will arrive next week after completion of all the necessary equipment in the port which is the first of its kind in Bahrain to import this type of Cargo, while it will be operating in the coming weeks.

 

The minister pointed out that the import of liquefied natural gas will be raised from its sources in addition to ordinary gas used in Bahrain and deep gas, which will provide an opportunity to provide the investor with international prices.

 

He pointed out that NOGA signed a memorandum of understanding recently with Italian company Eni to dig the first well by the end of the current year, which is an area of ​​2800 square kilometers in the northern region of Bahrain.
