An Asian managed to survive after his mini-bus drowned in the sea at the King Faisal Corniche yesterday (Tuesday) late night.

Preliminary details, according to reliable sources and witnesses, indicated that an Asian was enjoying the clear weather on the sea shore of the King Faisal Corniche. When he wanted to leave, instead of reversing back, he mistakenly drove the mini-bus forward to the sea. When he realized that the mini-bus was going to drown, he managed to get out by jumping over it and he was the one who reported it to the police.

Traffic police and ambulances quickly responded to and were present at the site. They closed the surrounding area precautionary until the members of the Maritime Rescue Unit at the Civil Defense arrived and pull the mini-bus out of the sea.

The Ministry of Interior, which announced it on its official social media accounts, in cooperation with the General Directorate of Traffic stated that they initiated an investigation into the accident.
