A Gulf national managed to survive a drowning incident after his car drowned in the sea near Juffair area today (Wednesday) at dawn.  

Preliminary details, according to reliable sources, indicated that a gulf citizen, in his late 20s, was over-speeding near the coast in Juffair at 2 am. Due to carelessness, he lost control and his car fell into the sea. When he realized that the car was going to drown, he managed to get out by jumping over it.

Traffic police and ambulances quickly responded to and were present at the site. They closed the surrounding area precautionary until the members of the Maritime Rescue Unit at the Civil Defense arrived and pull the mini-bus out of the sea.

The Ministry of Interior, which announced it on its official social media accounts, in cooperation with the General Directorate of Traffic stated that they initiated an investigation into the accident.
