The delegation of King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Co-existence, headed by Board of Trustees Chairman Dr. Shaikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, and This Is Bahrain Society visited the Baha’i Centre in Washington. They presented a detailed account on religious and cultural coexistence in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

President of This Is Bahrain Society Betsy Mathieson stressed the need to shun hatred and sectarian conflicts feeding terrorism. She affirmed the efforts made to promote the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on the importance of spreading the kingdom’s experience in peaceful coexistence worldwide. She paid tribute to the kingdom’s wise leadership, stressing the kingdom’s advanced and just legislation to protect people’s rights.

The Public Affairs Director of the Baha’i Community, in the USA, expressed utmost appreciation of HM the King’s initiatives to foster peaceful coexistence, including the Declaration of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the King Hamad Chair in Inter-Faith Dialogue and Peaceful Co-Existence at the glorious Sapienza University. He also praised the numerous places of worship for non-Muslims in Bahrain as well as growing participation of Bahraini women in the community.
