The National Communication Centre (NCC)’s CEO Ahmed Mohammed Al Mannai participated in the World Government Summit 2019 held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) under the patronage of UAE President HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The NCC chief executive stressed that considerable work was undertaken to achieve sustainable development goals (SDGs) for the welfare and wellbeing of the people, that contributes to boosting industrial, commercial, agricultural, scientific, health and medical outputs as promulgated by the United Nations since it was established and until nowadays.
He pointed out that Bahrain has taken numerous strides since adopting the SDGs2030 reliant upon its experience and expertise in achievement of the Millennium Development Goals prior to 2015. Bahrain has exerted considerable efforts to achieve these goals since it endorsed them in 2000. The efforts were expounded in four national reports that reflect the Kingdom’s mega strides in the accomplishment of these goals.
He added that the NCC’s participation in the 2019 World Government Summit aims to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals as the summit has drawn the global limelight to exchange expertise and drive the qualitative transformations in the government work mechanisms, the tools for envisioning progress, has become the global event anticipated by officials, intellectuals, policymakers and to empower humankind everywhere.
He expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Emirati leadership on the enlightened advanced ideas that make the bright future of our Gulf and Arab countries, lauding the UAE’s distinguished guests who made it a destination to mull the peoples’ welfare development to contribute to nations’ development and progress. He also lauded the excellent preparation and organistion of this major event, as well as the views discussed about the anticipated future of upcoming generations.
Al Mannai held bilateral meetings with officials, policymakers and heads of Gulf, Arab and international communication centres and discussed various topics as well as cooperation.
