Within the campaign organized to implement Ministerial Resolution No. (205) for 2018 to prevent trawling net shrimp fishing, inspectors of the by Sea Monitoring Directorate conducted an inspection tour on the western coast of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and this tour resulted in the seizing a number of illegal shrimp fishing nets.

The Sea Monitoring Directorate indicated that these equipment was confiscated, and legal measures were taken in relation to this violation.

The directorate calls on all fishermen to adhere to the Ministerial Decision to prevent illegal shrimp fishing, which came primarily for the purpose of protecting marine wealth in the Kingdom of Bahrain and ensuring the sustainability of this important resource in terms of achieving food security in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
