Chairman of Al-Shemmery Group, Abdulhakim Alshemmery said a new livestock feed arrived to meet the market needs, especially for live livestock traders to enhance food security.

He stated that this comes to support the government's efforts in facing the challenges of (COVID-19) pandemic towards plans to stabilize the market, supply and demand and cover the shortage in some commodities such as animal feed due to the aviation traffic disturbance.

He added that the local market was supplied two days ago with 4,800 bags of barley and yellow corn, which will contribute to the stability of supply and demand in the market and maintain the level of prices and the lack of this important commodity for livestock traders, especially in the holy month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr."

He said that according to the plan, there will be more quantities of barley and corn, which will arrive in the coming weeks, at competitive prices.
