“The long-awaited car-cinema will kick off on the 20th this month and the ticket prices will start at BD12,” revealed officials at Pico for Exhibitions and Mukta A2 Cinemas Bahrain which are two companies that intend to operate the first car-cinema in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Officials noted that the ticket price included two persons in a car only in and a meal for each person. They added that the nominated place was enough for 100 cars and one screen. They explained that reservations would be online and should be made a week in advance. They said that there would be two evening parties every day, the first would start at 7 pm and the other at 10 pm.
The two companies have earlier stated that preparations were being made for the first car-cinema which would be held at the Bahrain Bay.
It is noteworthy that the idea of car-cinemas came to compensate for the closure of cinemas since March 18th for precautionary reasons after the outbreak of the COVIS-19 pandemic. The Coordination Committee, headed by His Highness the Crown Prince, announced that car-cinemas would be allowed to operate in accordance with health requirements and the rules of social divergence, with the continued closure of cinemas.
