Over 9,477 Covid-19 tests were conducted on Tuesday (28 July) health officials confirmed.
The Ministry of Health detected 439 new cases of the COVID-19 in foreign workers, contacts and some from recent arrivals to the island kingdom, according to health officials.
Health officials said that 187 expatriate workers were detected with the virus in the past 24 hours, 249 others were infected from local contacts and 3 are travel related.
The Ministry of Health also confirmed that 421 patients recovered from coronavirus bringing the total number of recoveries in the country to 36,531 so far.
The latest update (28 July) reveals that there are currently 77 Covid-19 cases receiving treatment, of which 50 are in a critical condition. Over 3,199 cases are stable out of a total of 3,249 active cases. The total number of discharged recovered cases totals to 36,531.
Bahrain has conducted over 808,276 tests. With no fatalities reported yesterday, Bahrain’s total number of deaths due to the coronavirus stands at 141.
