“A total of 23094 face-mask violations in public places were registered since the decision was implemented,” stated Public Security Assistant Chief for Operations and Training Affairs, Brigadier-General Dr. Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa, to the media. 

He added that Bahrain has facilitated the evacuation of 15849 expatriates from Bahrain in the past six months. 

Brigadier-General Dr. Shaikh Hamad confirmed the continuation of the ministry’s awareness campaigns in various languages in order to adhere to preventive measures. He added that police distributed face masks to violators while taking precautionary measures to ensure social distancing in public places, shops, malls, and coasts. He stressed the importance of community partnership in the success of popular efforts to control the spread of COVID-19. He confirmed the continuation of the General Security Presidency’s instructions regarding taking legal measures against violators. 

He said that examinations of travelers coming from abroad reached 75,820 by the General Directorate of Ports Security.
