Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Republic of Romania, Abdullah Abdullatif Abdullah, residing in Berlin, participated in the annual meeting of Romanian diplomacy entitled "The impact of the pandemic on international trends, and the responses of Romanian diplomacy", which was held over a period of three days via video conference.

Romanian President, Klaus Iohannes, in a message to the virtual meeting, stated that the main lines of foreign policy are through increasing Romania's role in the European Union and NATO, and strengthening and expanding the strategic partnership with the United States of America.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Romania, Bogdan Orisko, announced a plan to create a more efficient early warning mechanism in emergency situations, such as those resulting from Covid-19.

The meeting was attended by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Romania, Ludvik Orban, Head of European Diplomacy, Josep Borrell, Deputy Secretary General of NATO, Mercha Geoana, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Ayman Safadi, and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Spain, Arancha. It is worth noting that the meeting focused on the impact of the health crisis on international relations and global trends, and on adapting the tools of Romanian diplomacy in this context.
