Over 9,977 Covid-19 tests were conducted on Saturday (12 September) health officials confirmed.

The Ministry of Health detected 747 new cases of the COVID-19 in foreign workers, contacts and some from recent arrivals to the island kingdom, according to health officials.

Health officials said that 109 expatriate workers were detected with the virus in the past 24 hours, 633 others were infected from local contacts of active cases and five travel related.

The Ministry of Health also confirmed that 416 patients recovered from coronavirus bringing the total number of recoveries in the country to 53,192 so far.

The latest update (12 September) reveals that there are currently 86 Covid-19 cases receiving treatment, of which 26 are in a critical condition. Over 6,157 cases are stable out of a total of 6,183 active cases. The total number of discharged recovered cases totals to 53,192.

Bahrain has conducted over 1,240,204 tests. Bahrain reported three fatalities – a 66 year old male citizen, 72 year old female citizen and a 56 year old male expatriate from coronavirus death taking the toll to 211.
