Over 12,694 Covid-19 tests were conducted on Sunday (13 September) health officials confirmed.

The Ministry of Health detected 721 new cases of the COVID-19 in foreign workers, contacts and some from recent arrivals to the island kingdom, according to health officials.

Health officials said that 106 expatriate workers were detected with the virus in the past 24 hours, 613 others were infected from local contacts of active cases and two travel related. 

The Ministry of Health also confirmed that 489 patients recovered from coronavirus bringing the total number of recoveries in the country to 53,681 so far.

The latest update (13 September) reveals that there are currently 115 Covid-19 cases receiving treatment, of which 29 are in a critical condition. Over 6,385 cases are stable out of a total of 6,414 active cases. The total number of discharged recovered cases totals to 53,681. 

Bahrain has conducted over 1,252,898 tests. Bahrain reported one fatality – a 64-year-old male citizen from coronavirus death taking the toll to 212.
